Eaten very well

The food was okay, but really nothing special. Most noticeable, however, was the boss, who was very arrogant and derogatory towards his employed lady behind the counter. To make matters worse, he sat across from us, paddled on his cell phone and then ate his Bruscetta with a loud smack. In between he tapped himself a Kölsch while standing in front of the bar. Certainly not again!

The food was a huge disappointment! On the one hand, the bruschettas were very small, the tomatoes were not well seasoned and the whole arrangement was extremely careless. The main courses were also a letdown. The pizza was completely greasy and literally floated in the fat of the cheese. The dough was neither crispy nor airy - instead it was kind of rubbery. The meat, an entrecôte, was obviously very cheap and correspondingly watery, sinewy and tasteless. It was also floating in olive oil - a lot of oil, really. The rosemary potatoes served with it were also very bland, apparently relatively old, and accordingly firm. The side salad consisted of a few leaves of iceberg lettuce, which were covered with an obvious ready-made sauce. Really awful taste. The owner who served us was anything but friendly, despite every courtesy we showed him, had no positive word to say. When it comes to prices, you actually expect good service and good quality of the food - the Ristorante Salento cannot offer any of that.

Very tasty food and a great atmosphere! The staff is always very nice ?

If you want to eat typically Italian and, above all, tasty, this is the right address. What surprised me are the very fair prices for this excellent quality. The ambience is pleasantly furnished and you can sit comfortably on the spring-loaded chairs.

Very good food, great pizza, nice restaurant

Eating goes like this, nothing special. Instead of cheap mixed salad with swordfish, fresh grilled vegetables would have been better, especially at a price of 24 euros. Long waiting times, there was only 1 hour between the starter and main course. The service has to be described as underground, to friendly questions from the waiter / owner there were always snappy, sometimes even annoyed to outrageously cheeky answers! His closing words on our criticism of the service: "It doesn't matter if you don't come back!". We certainly won't do that either.

Frutti de Mari was really bad. Presumably from the freezer. Rest ate well. Prices are. So so. We wouldn't come back

Salento is definitely worth a visit. The food is great. We really like the ambience. You have to like it. The service is very nice. If you eat there, you should take it easy because everything is freshly made. And the Italian temperament is one of them. The boss is a cool guy. Treat yourself

The last one spontaneously ordered takeaway food. Unfortunately the service was absolutely underground in the short contacts of ordering and later paying. You didn't feel like you were welcome as a guest. According to the other reviews, it was probably the owner. Although you might want to support local businesses in the difficult times, it is not made easy for you here. From then on the food was still very tasty, the preparation only took 15 minutes.

The first time it was very good, the second time you felt undesirable because there was supposedly a large company. Food took a long time (as announced) but unfortunately wishes (incompatibilities) were not taken into account when eating but only after complaining. The chairs in the outdoor area have their best times behind and the film under the gravel can also be seen, or the chair wobbles because there are cavities under the film.

Tried on recommendation yesterday and absolutely positive surprise. Very cozy atmosphere and flair and definitely the best pizza here in the area. Starting with the traditional dough, which is thin and perfectly heated even the next day, delicious tomato sauce and cheese. Above all, the price / performance ratio is convincing. The size of the pizza is also remarkable. I don't eat any other salad or vegetables and have tried the "Parma" pizza on recommendation and I am absolutely thrilled. Rude staff. Restaurant manager talked down to floor staff in the middle of the dinning room. Not a nice atmosphere.

Food is great. Unfortunately, the owner is the most unfriendly person in the world. Rarely seen anything so cheeky. No demand if we want to reorder drinks or other service. Unfortunately, I can not go here anymore. Best Italian in the district but if you go out for dinner, you want to have a nice evening and not annoyed about the owner / staff.

Nicely furnished, cozy restaurant in a central location in Hennef. Very nice and attentive service. Extensive menu of typical Italian dishes of all kinds, plus you get recommendations of the day, which are not on the map. The food is well prepared and nicely prepared, and tastes very good. The pricing is also very fair, so you can definitely recommend the Salento.

Great pizza

Solid Italian restaurant in a big, rambling old building with quite an old fashioned look. It is like a building from a Call of Duty level! Simple but very tasty food, obviously made with good quality ingredients. One of the nicest pizzas I have had outside of Italy. Bill for four - starters, main and plenty of wine - 100 Euros
